How to use Installrr

Short, plain-language steps for each part of Installrr. Pick the role that fits you.

Post a job
  1. Tap Post on the bottom bar.
  2. Pick the trade, add a short description, and your zip code.
  3. Add photos if you have them — they help installers quote accurately.
Search for installers
  1. Tap Find and choose a trade and zip code.
  2. Open a profile to see photos, trades, service areas, and reviews.
  3. Trust badges show what has been verified: Identity Verified, Background Checked, Licensed, Insured, and Top Rated. Badges are signals of trust, not guarantees.
Select installers for interviews
  1. From an installer profile, choose Select for interview and pick one of your jobs.
  2. You can select up to 3 installers per job.
  3. The installer unlocks the opportunity to open messaging with you.
Message, hire, and review
  1. Chat in Messages. Tap Translate on any message if you prefer another language.
  2. Choose who to hire and mark it in My Jobs.
  3. After the work is done, leave an honest review.
Team Projects
  1. Create a Team Project for remodels that need several trades.
  2. Invite installers you've already talked with and assign each a trade.
  3. Use the trade board to sequence work: waiting, ready, working, completed.
  4. Flag an issue on a trade when something is blocking progress.
  5. Share photos and progress notes so everyone sees the same picture.
Remodeling Consultants
  1. Browse the consultant directory for advisory help on bigger projects.
  2. Invite a consultant to a Team Project to review the trade board and add comments.
  3. Consultants advise you. They are not the project's contractor unless separately licensed and engaged.
Safety, licensing, and permits
  1. Some work commonly requires permits or a licensed professional — especially electrical, plumbing, roofing, and structural changes.
  2. Check your local requirements before work begins.
  3. Ask installers to show current license and insurance documents.
